Below we have mentioned a few key tips to recover from a root canal surgery. Take a look.
- Avoid exercise for some time
For people who exercise daily need to be careful after a surgery; even if it’s a mouth surgery. It is advisable to take a few days off to prevent any tooth ache or bleeding from the operated area. Also, when you start exercising again be careful to not put excessive strain on your body.
2. Treat your mouth properly
Just after the surgery one will obviously feel the swelling and the pain; but you can reduce this slowly over time. You can use ice packs to reduce the swelling and eat soft food so as to not put pressure on your teeth. Never eat anything just following the procedure, wait till the numbness reduces.
3. Notice if your crown gives you problem
After every root canal surgery, the doctor puts a temporary crown while the permanent one gets made as per the measurement of your tooth. There might be times this crown causes a slight irritation or pain especially while you are eating.
